What is energy efficient plumbing?

Many people have heard of energy efficient lighting, heating, ect., but perhaps less are familiar with the term energy efficient plumbing. Being more efficient with your plumbing is a way of decreasing your overall resource consumption. There are several ways in which you can increase your efficiency, including proper maintenance of your plumbing and installing conservative fixtures.

Water- our most precious resource

Water is the most abundant resource on the planet, yet less than 1% of the world's fresh water is readily accessible for direct human use. 884 million people lack access to safe water supply. That's about 1 out of every 8 people. There is a crisis across the world in developing countries with regards to safe water, and it claims approx. 3.5 million lives each year.

To be realistic not everyone is in a position to where they can participate in charities and humanitarian relief organizations. However, there are ways in which we can all help, and a very simple way is through water conservation.

Energy Efficient Plumbing

Two ways in which EverEnergy Design is committed to water conservation is through offering efficient plumbing that includes toilets that consume less water and low-flow fixtures.

Water conscious toilets

One of the biggest water wasters in the home is... you guessed it, toilets. We offer a line of water conscious toilets that are designed to use less water and consume less resources. Our dual flush toilets use up to 72% less water than a traditional 3.5gallon flush toilet. That adds up to approximately 18,000 gallons annually. The unique dual flush system allows you to choose between a half flush (0.8gallons) for liquid waste or a full flush (1.6gallons) for solids.

Low-flow fixtures

Another way to help conserve water consumption is by installing low-flow fixtures. Low-flow shower heads use about 2½ gallons of water per minute compared to between four and five gallons per minute used by conventional heads. Low-flow faucet aerators can cut the water usage of faucets by as much as 40% from 4 gallons per minute to 2½. EverEnergy Design offers a variety of different fixtures that reduce water usage to help you save money and conserve natural resources.
